Social Security -

Social Security is a vital program contributing to the stability of our society by providing for the financial security of our retirees, the disabled, and survivors. When I am elected President, one of my first acts will be to use any political capital I earned in the election to push Congress to fix the system before it runs out of money. Everyone knows the system must be fixed, and that the longer we wait the more difficult it will be to fix it. My message to all members of Congress, Republican or Democrat, will be to listen to the Commissioner of Social Security for recommendations to fix the system, i.e. make it solvent, and to hold their noses and sign off on a bipartisan deal to shore up the system for decades to come.
